Cobras Fail Acid Test
The Cobras failed to capitilise on their amazing start in the 11th round encounter
with the Panthers. After going up 2-0 inside 5 minutes the Cobras then proceeded to
fall asleep. After 17 minutes the scores were level and by the time the first half ended
the Cobras found themselves 3-2 down. It was an amazing turn around and the Cobras only
had themselves to blame as all goals were a result of defensive errors.
26/05/2008 - Cobras Vs Western Strikers
The Cobras took on major rival Western Strikers on Saturday in what promised to be an enthralling
encounter. The first half was a real power struggle and although Western Strikers enjoyed the majority
of possession it was the Cobras who created the better chances.
The second half started with the Strikers stepping up the pressure and they took the lead after a misunderstanding between 2 Cobras defenders. After introducing the Margaritis brothers aswell as Philippou in the second half the Cobras slowly took a stranglehold on the game. As the game was about to come to an end for the second week in a row the Cobras scored a goal in the dying minutes of the game.
