THE YEAR THAT WAS 2010 SEASON ....... SUPER LEAGUE!!
An extraordinary experience so many clubs dream of. We can hold our head up high and be proud that we had made it to the finest level of Football in South Australia. The Super League!
It is not by chance that this achievement became a reality. The players fought with passion and integrity. The coaching staff were unbelievable leaders for the club. The supporters are more committed to our club than most are to their wives and families. The volunteers and committee are on call 7 days a week and many have not seen their families for months on end. (I am told this contributes to a successful marriage).
Being relegated back to the Premier League is devastating. Nonetheless, this is where the strength of synergy provided by all the elements which make up the Adelaide Cobras will ensure we are back with a vengeance.
We will fight this season and better prepare ourselves for our future. Our Club is not primarily about money. It is more about the passion for our talents, our children, our Cobras family, our beloved World Game.
It is with great sadness that Maurice Natale has decided to move on from coaching the Seniors Team at the Club. We were truly honoured to have him associated with us. His determination and charisma was instrumental to our successes. Maurice has been an asset to our club the moment he set foot. He has brought in some of the most talented footballers in our state. His reputation preceeds himself and if there were shares available for this man I would definitely be buying them. We have absolutely enjoyed working with Maurice and look forward to seeing his achievements grow in the future. He has set a very high standard and we hope to make him proud.
The likes of Angelo Costanzo have also brought an amazing energy level and much publicity to our Club. It is amazing that a talent of his callibre would be willing to share his skills, knowledge and passion with us. He is most definitely a born leader and mentor to all our future talents. Watching his passion for perfection, brilliance and the love of football has definitely cemented why he has been one of the best Footballers to come out of this State. We do very much hope he is a part of our club for many years to come.
Although we are unsure at this stage who will make up our dynamic team and coach that will lead us back to the Super League, we do know that it wont be long before we get back there. We look forward to the exciting season ahead and hope you will join us once again in witnessing history being repeated.......
