How nice to be back at Weigal and what a beautiful day it was for the beautiful game. Indeed it was a beautiful game, this new vibrant Cobras team really showed their skills but just could not put that ball at the back of the Olympic net.

The first half was not a special performance but they came out fighting in the second half with the team displaying commitment as well as skill. It is true to say that scoring goals is just not happening at the moment but it is not from lack of trying.

At training the boys are terrific, displaying true commitment and intensity, perhaps they need a little confidence in front of goals.

What is very noticeable is the professionalism being displayed on and off the field, one has to give credit to the senior coach Maurice Natale and the club captain Ernesto Ilyciarra.

I have been following the team right from the start of pre-season; once again I have to say that Maurice has a firm grip of his players, identifying only those that want to be at the Cobras, instilling passion and desire to achieve the goals set out at the start of the season.

Whilst not quite on track in the way of points, I must say that the boys have played some good football, perhaps the results not justifying the performance. Having said that we lack luck I hear you saying, well I do not believe in luck just hard work, so boys keep working, I for one believe in your ability you just have to believe in yourselves. Shenga
